Building a national telehealth operation from the ground up
A leading national fertility network was facing consult wait times north of 60 days. We partnered with executive leadership to architect a new Global Telehealth division — coordinating across departments, building patient-facing education infrastructure, and designing the intake and communication systems that prepared patients before their first appointment. Wait time dropped from 60 days to two weeks. The team that runs it is fully operational and independent.
Standardizing an 800+ person organization
Rapid growth had left a national fertility network with more than 200 positions, no standardized job descriptions, and no org chart. We audited the full workforce, narrowed and defined 166 roles in coordination with executive leadership, wrote every job description, built a high-fidelity organizational chart — by both position and people hierarchy — and created a maintenance process the HR team could sustain without us.

Pilar Castro Di Carlo spent more than a decade building More Canvas Consulting into a firm known for one thing: going into complex, growing organizations and building the infrastructure they needed to scale without breaking. Across fertility clinics, women's health practices, medical aesthetics, physical therapy and wellness, and academic medical departments, the pattern kept repeating: organizations with clinical and mission excellence, and operational systems that hadn't kept pace.
Pilar holds an MBA from The Wharton School and brings a rare combination of strategic, operational, and creative capability to every engagement. She is also a certified professional coach, and brings that lens to the human side of organizational change — not just the systems, but the leaders who have to carry them.

Jennifer Santiago helped build MC Fertility Strategies and leads its operations and communications, drawing on years working alongside Pilar at the intersection of healthcare operations, technology implementation, and organizational development.
She brings deep experience in the fertility and women's health space specifically: the systems, the stakeholders, and the particular operational challenges that come with scaling patient-centered care.
